Dear Parents,
The International Competitions and Assessments for Schools (ICAS) is a competition organised by the University of NSW. Sitting an ICAS test is optional and the UNSW charges a per test fee.
ICAS focusses on challenging questions and higher order thinking skills. Please note, ICAS is not an assessment of a student’s overall ability compared to the curriculum or their peers. ICAS papers do not contain questions that cover a range of abilities and difficulty levels as a school assessment would.
If you are interested, we encourage you to read the information attached and discuss ICAS with your child.
